Title: Life cycle assessment, multi-scale materials modelling and system analytics for batteries

Abstract
The talk is going to present the VTT activities and research in the battery field focusing on deliveing tools for life-cycle assesment, matetials modelling and system analytics. The life-cycle assessment covers various tools for evaluation of the carbon footprint and carbon handprint on the whole battery value chain, including the raw material, production, use, re-use and recycling. In additon, it will be presented an innovative platform for materials modeling that can can be applied for battery materials. Various analytics tools for battery state estimation, lifetime optimization and techno-economics, will be also presented.
