Dr. Alexey Y. Koposov is a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). His research activities are mainly focused on chemistry of materials for energy applications. He graduated from Moscow State University (Russia) with a degree in Materials Science in 2001. After obtaining his PhD degree from University of Minnesota in 2005, he joined Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2011 he accepted a position of Senior Scientist at the SHARP Laboratories of America – part of R&D division of SHARP Corporation, where he led the development of nanomaterials for energy applications. After joining IFE in 2017 his main research focus is the development of silicon-based materials for advanced batteries. Dr. Koposov is an author of more than 40 research articles and number of patents.
