WMG’s Battery Research Activities: An Overview on Current European Cooperation

As an academic department at the University of Warwick, WMG represents an international role model for successful collaboration between academia and the public and private sectors driving innovation in science, technology, and engineering. Among the several research area, WMG’s Energy Innovation Centre has internationally recognised expertise and facilities in battery research and development, providing a unique platform bridging fundamental research to the engineering challenges of manufacturing and scaling up.
This presentation gives an overview on some of WMG’s currently active research projects involving European cooperation spanning from low TRL activities up to manufacturing and recycling, with research and development activities focussed on sodium-ion batteries, smart functionalities integration, direct recycling and circular economy.
