SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory
SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory is a brand-new centre for research, development, and innovation within electromobility, and is owned by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and Chalmers University of Technology. Testing capacities at SEEL cover battery performance testing, electric machines, complete vehicles, as well as charging technology. Unique battery testing capacities at SEEL include complete testing from cell to pack level, testing in the final application environment, e.g. electric vehicle, as well as critical safety testing. SEEL is a partner in Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) on Batteries, with research focus on innovative testing methods, e.g. accelerated aging and in situ monitoring, battery management system and thermal management, as well as recycling and second-life applications. SEELs ambition is to be an open arena for collaboration between academia, research institutes and industry, and accelerate the evolution of electric vehicles.
