Composites were prepared by mixing silica nanoparticles\nwith different amounts of glucose, sucrose and cornstarch and subjecting the\nresulting powders to high temperature annealing treatments at 850 \u00b0C, 1050 \u00b0C\nand 1200 \u00b0C. Structural, microstructural and textural differences on the\ncomposites were related to differences on the electrochemical performance of\nthe electredes.
