Author: Nataliia Mozhzhukhina Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Electrode\/Electrolyte Interphase is the vital\ncomponent for successful Li-ion battery operation. Yet after several decades of\nresearch, fundamental understanding of the nature and formation mechanism of\nthe Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) remain incomplete. While the\nanode\/electrolyte interphase has been studied intensively over the years, the\ncathode\/electrolyte interphase has received much less attention. Although ex\nsitu measurements were traditionally used to study the Interphase formation,\nthe use of real time operando techniques is today mandatory in order to provide\na new insight into these complex processes. We have employed Operando Surface\nEnhanced Raman Spectroscopy to reveal the processes occurring in the Electrical\nDouble Layer on the gold based model systems relevant to the Li-ion batteries.\nPreliminary results of both anodic and cathodic electrolyte decomposition\nprocesses will be presented in the poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Full list of posters<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
